Day Book # 31

FOR TODAY…

August 22, 2010

Outside My Window…

The poor sun is trying to sneak through the clouds of smoke.  We are draped in a shroud of smoke from the wild fires from BC.

I am thinking…

Sewing: A creative mess is better than tidy idleness.  ~Author Unknown

I am really finding that the more I make the bigger my mess becomes.  I almost need a whole day to tidying my sewing room so that is it even able to be occupied.  Seems to be a bit silly really.

I am thankful for…

Pedicures with good friends and lots of laughter.  As well as funny puppies who seem to sleep the days away.

From the kitchen…

Ice cream is being made.  It will be wonderful, I cannot wait.

I am wearing…

Some capris, a white tank and a light sweater.

I am creating…

My mini quilt and the borders on my leaf quilt.  They are both coming together quite well. Though I don’t have the slightest idea how to quilt the mini quilt at all.

I am going…

To sew, sew, sew.

I am reading…

Gurnsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society. Again.  I just loved it so much that I wanted to read it again.

I am hoping…

The smoke clears up.

I am hearing…

The Tudors.  I’m watching the mini series, it is quite interesting actually.

Around the house…

Projects are around and I am enjoying time with a cuddly puppy.

One of my favorite things…

Bright red nail polish.

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week…

Not too many plans actually.  Helping someone out, maybe back to school shopping, and I must quilt a quilt and bind it.

Here is picture thought I am sharing…

Nate decided to snap this photo of me.  Even though my face is a bit unflattering, somehow I still like the photo.
