Identity Crisis

For those of you who often check back here and have noticed in the past few days some “decor” changes it is because I am in an identity crisis.  Not personally mind you, but for my blog.

I’m always changing my headers because I haven’t found one or created one that I am thrilled with.  To me they have all been “ok”.  And if you know my “ok” usually isn’t that “ok”.  Its like “fine” to me.  I don’t have a lot of skill using programs like gimp or photoshop and am not quite clever enough to think of one of my own.  I like my owl sitting on a tree header, but, well I don’t know, parts bothered me like the blurry text.

Recently, this has been bugging me more and more.  Right now with wordpress.com I can do a few things, but I am subject to their themes (layout) and in some instances headers (again I’m not that good with manipulating these).  If I pick the “right” layout for one thing I give up control of another.

So I’ve been toying with the idea of moving the blog to a spot where I ca have more control and get an appearance I’ll be happy with.  But like a lot of things I’m indecisive about this and one minute am signing up and the next minute pulling myself away and playing more with the one I’m “currently” fooling with.

Do you have any suggestions for me?

I’m telling you this in advance because I am sorry that you might see quite a few different things going on until I can get myself to a place where I am pleased.

Hang tight, this could be a bumpy ride.

  1. I don’t have a suggestion, but I know the syndrome. AND I have header envy quite often. “Why didn’t I think of that?” I’ll say. Or wince when I cross a blog 3 inches wide with all the words broken up 🙂

Oh Sharyn, I’m so glad to hear I’m not the only one who has this “syndrome”. What a pain in the rear. One day we’ll get them exactly the way we want.
